- “Immigrants are taking over the United States, they must be sent to where they came from”
- “This is our nation and we should take it back”
- “Make English America’s official language”
- “Congress loves Illegals”

Is Immigration Reform a Stimulus for the Economy?
Is Immigration Reform a Stimulus for the Economy?
If immigrants had an opportunity to buy a home and a new car or buy that big T.V without fear of deportation they would. not that they don’t already buy things such as clothing , food and inexpensive cars. but they would contribute more to this economy if they had less fear of not being able to enjoy the things they buy.
I would propose immigrants pay a fine of 7,500 for a family that can show it has been here longer than five years and 8,500 for someone here with two years. and 10,000 for someone that has less then one year in this country and can prove they have a job that no one has applied for and could not be filled.
and yes everyone would be required to pay a fee for background checks and only people that have not committed felonies should be granted citizenship.
lastly with Americas debt at an alarming high we will need more people paying into taxes and social security.

Immigration Overhaul in 2010
By Ruben Navarrette Jr.
It’s time again for New Year’s resolutions, especially if Congress and the White House really plan to reopen the explosive immigration debate in 2010. Whether or not they do depends on which part of the political carnival you’re looking at.
This week, the Los Angeles Times reported that the Obama administration is discreetly laying the groundwork to tackle immigration reform early next year.
According to the article, senior White House aides have privately assured Latino immigration activists that President Obama will throw his support behind legislation in Congress to provide a path to earned legalization for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants now living in the United States. - CNN

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is Harassing Chicanos
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is currently serving search warrants on the organization, Chicanos Por La Causa, at its headquarters, 1122 East Buckeye Road, Phoenix.
Deputies are taking boxes of files from the Chicanos Por La Causa buildings at 11th Street and Buckeye Road as the group’s supporters prepare for a possible anti-Sheriff-Joe-Arpaio demonstration.
Bernarda Duarte, (left) the Raza fund’s marketing officer, says she’s appalled by the Sheriff’s Office’s timing of the raid, which appears to be is tied to the indictment of Mary Rose Wilcox. Not only was the conference scheduled for today, but it’s also International Human Rights Day, she says.[http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com]
Latino Internet use grows fast!
Internet use grows fast among Latinos
Latino adults are increasing their use of the Internet faster than other ethnic groups, according to a new survey from the Pew Hispanic Center and the Pew Internet and American Life Project.
Between 2006 and 2008, the percentage of adult Latinos in the U.S. who used the Internet grew to 64 percent from 54 percent, according to the survey. Among whites, Internet use increased to 76 percent from 72 percent. Blacks saw the smallest overall gain — two percentage points to 63 percent.
Latinos who were born in the U.S. were much more likely to go online than those born outside the U.S. This gap persisted even after accounting for differences in education levels, household income and English proficiency, the report said.
Poor Latinos went online less than those with higher incomes. But overall, groups that traditionally have had low rates of Internet use were increasingly embracing the Web. In 2006, for example, 31 percent of Latinos without a high school diploma reported ever going online. In 2008, this number grew to 41 percent. [google.com]
Hate Crimes in Pennsylvania
The police chief in a small town in Pennsylvania and two of his officers are being held in prison accused of having organised a cover-up following a brutal attack on an illegal Mexican immigrant by a group of white high school students which ended in the Mexican man’s death.
The indictments bring the full weight of US federal law down on Shenandoah, a declining rustbelt town of about 5,000 people 80 miles north-west of Philadelphia. The allegations also cast light on the relationship between senior officers and the teenagers they were supposed to be investigating. [bp]
